They will be on the subject of “Environmentally-friendly development in the countryside”, and will take place at:

The seminars will look at aspects of interest to farmers, landowners and developers.
Main speakers are as follows:
Bob Tomlinson and Hugo Reeve of Living Villages (www.livingvillage.com) are the Founder Director and Managing Director of Living Villages who specialise in creating new houses in convivial environmentally friendly neighbourhoods with the feel of an established village. Their firm has unique experience in taking eco-development projects through from conception to completion and will speak about development partnerships, opportunities for landowners, and their dealings with planning authorities.
Martin Lane of Field Science is an expert in mineral applications to farmland and has achieved reductions of up to 70% in usage of nitrogenous fertiliser. This means long-term cost savings and considerable environmental benefits. He will present a case study of two farms in South West England and Scotland.
Bob Cherry of CKD Galbraith, a Land Agent and Chartered Surveyor based in Ayr will provide a brief update on rural property values and trends in South West Scotland to include farms and farmland, houses, steadings and land for development.
Simon Brown of CKD Galbraith, a Farmer, Land Agent and Chartered Surveyor. CKD Galbraith has recently commissioned a study by Strathclyde University on "Energy Environment and the Property Sector" looking at what value is placed on these issues in the property market. Research is ongoing and Simon will speak about its interim findings.
The talks and questions will last about ninety minutes and will be followed by the opportunity for informal discussion with light refreshments and tea/coffee.
