William Skinner & Son, a successful and expanding Building Contractor based at St Quivox, Ayr, has a number of vacancies at all levels, but is always particularly interested in general joiners and plumbers as well as roofing specialists. There are also generally opportunities for experienced office based Logistics staff.
Our new Treehouse and Renewable Energy departments need, respectively, specialist joiners and plumbers keen to work, initially, with solar heating installations.
The Company pays competitive rates and most employees have the opportunity to boost their income with night rates and frequent overtime. Most work is at clients’ sites, but the Company pays for all travelling time. There are significant staff benefits.
Right now we particularly need good foremen, experienced in the building refurbishment or fit-out sectors, to help enhance the Company’s reputation for first class contract delivery.
We also have vacancies for an experienced Estimator, to work with our Quantity Surveyor on tender submissions and quotations, and for a part-time Personnel Manager to take charge of HR records and to provide specialist advice to the Board.
